Week 15
Continue doing your transition practices as stated in prior weeks. The more you are familiar with the feelings and body (and mind) sensations the better.
Remember: No surprises on race day.
Time to start thinking about tapering. Tapering is the process of reducing training volume and intensity before a major competition or race to allow the body to fully recover and perform at its best.
By lightening the training load, you will be able to maintain your fitness while allowing your body to feel fresher and faster on race day. The goal of tapering is to peak at the right moment, feeling strong and rested for optimal performance.
